The pear shaped brilliant diamonds are based upon the fine traditional configuration of the round ‘brilliant’ diamond. A pear cut diamond has 58 facets as standard. However, it can be cut with varying numbers of pavilion mains - of 8, 7, 6 or 4 facets.
