Paris Hilton’s show stopping Engagement ring, and other ring trends set for 2018!

November 09 2017

Discover ring trends that are set to storm 2018, and see Paris Hilton’s gorgeous Pear Cut Diamond Engagement ring!

As we wave goodbye to 2017, we say hello to Celebrity and Royal weddings, and the Engagement ring trends set to shine in 2018.

An heiress to an empire of Hotels, and a name so popularly known as the socialite celebrity who is famous for being famous; Paris Hilton spent New Years with her actor boyfriend Chris Zylka, skiing in Aspen, Colorado.

After just under a year of dating, the happy couple took to Instagram on the 2nd of January to announce their Engagement.

Paris posted a multitude of pictures, and even shared a video of the romantic moment boyfriend Chris got down on one knee. The new Diamond in her Jewellery collection is nothing short of stunning.

A Pear cut Halo, with a split shoulder Diamond set band, set onto a white metal. The showstopper piece is estimated to be around 20 carats, and is looking at costing around 6 figures!

See our version of Paris’ ring, which can be designed to your requirements with our Bespoke design service.

This isn’t the first gorgeous Pear cut Diamond we’ve seen in the Celeb world these last few months, with Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner making us all jealous last October.

Pear cut Diamond

Pear cut Diamonds are a delicate and striking display of femininity. As a slender and sparkling teardrop shape, the graceful Diamond showcases a lengthening elegance. Pear cut Diamonds saw an increase in popularity nearing the end of 2017, and are set to continue as one of the top Engagement Rings designs this year.

Trilogy

Another style storm set to make its way through 2018, is the trilogy Engagement ring.

Since news of HRH Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Engagement, Meghan’s 3 stone Diamond ring has been the talk of the season.

The 3 stone ring see’s a Cushion cut Diamond set between 2 Round Brilliant Diamonds, on an 18K Yellow Gold band.

Yellow Gold

As well as the trilogy design seeing a rise in fashion, Yellow Gold is on the cards for a come back, proving a popular metal choice among many royals.

The Welsh Gold mine that has produced the gold for three generations of Royal Weddings is set to reopen once again, after nearly 20 years of closure.

The Clogau St David’s mine in North Wales, was once the home of the Gold nugget that became the Wedding bands of Queens and Princess’ alike. Notably, the Queen herself, and that of the late Princess Royal, Diana.

After mining ceased in 1998, Clogau has since been identified as a mine with the potential to expand, with more veins destined to be uncovered.

Who knows, could the interest in the Gold mine have been sparked since the Royal Engagement? Or maybe even Harry himself has insisted on rings made from the same Welsh Gold as his Mother and Grandmothers? Either way, the Royal History and Welsh heritage makes an exciting promise for this Gold mine.

So keep an eye out this year for Pear cut Sparkles, 3 stone beauty's, and daring Yellow Gold rings.
